Environmentally Sound Textiles
Weaves of Green Textiles™utilize fibers and yarns that are made largely from clear plastic water bottles that have been recovered from our environment after at least one consumer use cycle. All yarns are 100% post-consumer recycled polyester and are SCS certified.Color can be added to our recycled polyester fiber and yarns during the extrusion process. Extrusion dyeing yields thorough and durable distribution of color throughout our products without the release of potentially dangerous dye waste-water or other contaminants into our environment. Otherwise, greige (uncolored) fabrics can be piece dyed or over-printed per customer specification. UV, FR and other additives are available for specialty end-uses.
RePlay (6133)
Made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester filament yarns that are white (greige) or can be extrusion dyed, RePlay fabrics can be woven and colored to customer specification. RePlay provides a shiny, high-tech appearance that is suitable for applications in products such as luggage, backpacks, computer cases and shoes. RePlay fabrics have excellent performance characteristics and handle print exceptionally well. this fabric weighs 7.1 ounces per square yard and has a standard width of 65 inches.RePlay 2™ (6134)
Is a finer gauge than the original RePlay fabric, but is woven using the same 100% post-consumer materials. RePlay 2 was developed as a printing substrate but has found significant usage as a tote bag and light weight luggage material. RePlay 2 has a standard width of 65", weighs 4.3 ounces per square yard and comes in solution dyed white or black. Other solution dyed colors are available and the goods can be over-printed easily.Act II™ (6132)
Woven from a combination of filament and spun, 100% post consumer recycled polyester yarns, ACT II fabrics provide excellent tactile properties with superior physical attributes. This extremely durable, multi-purpose fabric is sold in the greige but can be piece dyed or printed by a variety of methods. This fabric weighs 7.1 ounces per square yard and has a standard width of 65 inches.Encore (6130)
Is made Using 100% post-consumer recycled polyester spun yarns that yield a fabric with the look and feel of woven cotton. Encore fabrics are suitable for upholstery, panel fabrics and wall coverings. Additionally, many luggage and bag manufacturers have found Encore to be an outstanding alternative to cotton. This fabric is sold in the greige but can be piece dyed or over-printed per customer specification. Encore weighs 9.2 ounces per square yard and has a standard width of 65 inches.RePlay HD (6135)
Is a heavy duty fabric designed for higher performance applications. HD is now available in two weaves...plain weave (1X1) or ballistic (2X2). As with each of the other "Weaves of Green" fabrics, RePlay HD is woven using yarns produced from 100% post consumer polyester. These fabrics weigh 10 ounces per linear yard, has a standard width of 65 inches and is solution dyed black. Other solution dyed colors are available. These goods are easily over-printed.Weaves of Green™ Recycled Cotton Fabrics
• Yarns are Control Union Certified to meet the stringent criteria of the Global Recycle Standard (GPS)• Yarns are composed of 70% post industrial recycled plus 30% polyester
• Fabric is currently offered in three weights:
a) style 1030 - plain weave, 7.0 osy
b) style 1025 - plain weave, 9.0 osy*
c) style 1026 - plain weave, 14.5 osy
*style 1025 is offered in stock dyed colors including black, dark brown, olive green royal blue, navy, red and linen.
